If you are looking for a party of the center that fights for family values but still wishes to aid the most vulnerable in society then the American Solidarity Party is for you! It is about time we end the partisan divide that has hindered our country's political system. Feel free to ask questions below and always consider fighting for the value of all unborn, poor, old, and vulnerable.

What does the American Solidarity party believe in? What are you going to campaign for? What are your priorities? The American Solidarity Party considers itself to be centrist. It can be generally characterized as socially conservative while being fiscally centrist. It's main core principles come from the ideals of Catholic Social Teaching and distributism. Here are the main precepts as outlined in catholic Social Teaching: - The Dignity of the Human Person: No person should be forgotten especially the vulnerable among us. Being unborn does not give another the right to destroy the life, being poor or jobless does not make it your fault, being imprisoned does not make one unable to be rehabilitated etc. - Solidarity: As mentioned in the name of the party, we are all one people each deserving of respect and dignity. The tendency toward alienation and separation both culturally and politically is detrimental to the state of the union. Therefore, this party promotes the united state of the people regardless of any individualistic endeavor. This is separate from communist "camaraderie" in that the actions of each person are performed for the good of the whole and not just eh good of the self. The party believes this common good is rooted in the goodness of God the first actor and creator rather than some vague atheistic understanding of the state. - Charity: We as a people should not foster a society of self glorification or selfish want. We as a people serve one another as we would want to be served. This comes forth from the understanding that every individual is deserving of that respect and that it is by example that they understand this as well. - Social Equality: The government itself should not support the rich or the powerful but rather the average person. Corporatism and the greed stricken should not have first call on the political system. Under distributism, the government should promote fair and living wages for all. This does not mean that the government should force all people to make the same wage. It does mean that the government should not reward companies that are blind to this notion or do not aid this economic goal which only wishes to ensure economic prosperity for all. - Care for Creation: As a party we see the good of creation as God made it. Therefore the environment should be protected and not carelessly exploited by personal interests. The party favors law that ensure environmental protections while also taking into account the need of the people which must not be outweighed by environmental concern. - Dignity of Work: The working people have a right to fair treatment in the workplace. Regardless of gender or position in the environment. Unionization should be allowed so that the workers may have a fair voice. This does not mean that the acts of unions are always applaudable as selfishness or impossible demands of the employer are just as wrong impossible demands of the worker. - Personal Rights: The ability to own personal property, practice religion, or speak freely are necessary for the personal success of each citizen. These rights cannot be infringed upon so that open dialogue and reason may overall be dominant in the forming of public opinion. This party is rooted in Christian ideals which cannot be denied. The party does not favor theocracy but does favor religious consciousness when deliberating political proposals which is not prohibited by secularism. The party does favor traditional Christian-catholic morals including opposition to euthanasia, abortion, homosexual marriage, and capital punishment (unless the act is absolutely necessary such as in the case of the imprisoned actively endangering the life of another).
